Today, Justin Garner spoke to students at Eleanor McMain Secondary School in New Orleans, LA, for GRAMMY In The Schools! GRAMMY Career Day presented by the GRAMMY Museum provides students with a behind-the-scenes look into the many careers in music. It also provides insight into how a K-12 music education teaches skills that are beneficial in any career and contributes to making students college and career-ready. It was great to appear alongside David R. Sears (Vice President of Education, GRAMMY In The Schools) and Marc Mutnansky (Product Manager, Fearless Records). "It is such an honor to be invited by the Recording Academy to serve as a GRAMMY U mentor!" explains Justin.
"When I first started in music, I always wished there was someone I could turn to for industry advice, insight, feedback, etc. I had to brave it alone and learn the ropes. When invited to the Recording Academy, one of my goals was to make an impact and make a difference. I want to help support and foster the aspirations of my mentee (a student at Loyola University New Orleans). The journey, opportunities, and successes of the program will be documented and shared across the @recordingacademy."

Justin Garner Preps New Single, Upcoming Tour Date w/ Chrisette Michele
R&B singer-songwriter Justin Garner is set to release his new single "Risky" on Friday, August 6th on Spotify, Apple Music and all major carriers. Garner teased that the song is his boldest musical offering to date.
"I wanted to make a bold statement. I was tired of staying within the lines and wanted to create something that fit where I am in life. My sound has heavily matured since my younger days and I wanted to convey that with 'Risky', explains Justin.
